Amplitube 3 on a Mac?

I've been searching the net for any ideas without success. I have a first gen iRig for my iPhone, and now I'd like to use it on my MBA. It seems to be working but I can only use clean amps without any distortion. When i pick something harder I can hear some loud noise like the gain is too high. I tried to lower the gain or increase the noisegate, still crap.
The iRig works perfectly on iOS. How should i set up my system?

Hi, the original iRig did not work on all Mac systems. It should still follow the same guidelines you'll find here (for iRIg 2 but should be the same in this respect) https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/i ... hp?p=specs so you may want to check that and if your Mac is indeed showing the correct information then I'd suggest contacting IK Support at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support so they can help you directly.
