controlling if irig acoustic works?

It's been a while since I used my iRig acoustic. I plugged it into my MacBook Air and Garage Band doesn't seem to register it. I went to the sound seettings and it doesn't seem to show up there either. I went to my phone to plug it in there and record something on a generic recording machine, and once again it appears to record only via the external mike.

Can it be that the iRig acoustic doesn't work anymore? How can I test this another way?

iRig Acoustic states iOS devices on the Specs page, not Mac: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/i ... hp?p=specs

That said, if it had been working before you may want to inquire with IK Support to see if they have any tips or tricks via http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support

If you've updated anything like macOS, etc, that may have affected something, too. I'm not sure, though, but IK Support may have some advice.
