SampleTank 4 MAX - value of Sampletank 3 core content?

While the add-on of ST3 instruments in ST4 MAX is nice to include for those who may have created songs using ST3...is there a compelling reason to download and install ST3 libraries as a new user? Would it make more sense to just install the new ST4 instruments (eg. What am I losing if I don't install ST3 sounds)? Does ST4 MAX cover the same instruments collection?

I'm trying to make the most of my disk space (and increase the searchability of presets in SampleTank) without missing out on critical sounds.

Quite a valid question.
It takes forever to download and install so if I could skip some libraries it would save a lot of time.
I think they mixed up amount of sounds with usability of sounds.

I think any avid SampleTank user (and I would concur) would suggest installing those. They are good too. I know that as a new user you already have the 200GB+ of brand new content to use but I think the ST3 content is also usable. Heck, there are folks asking about their SampleTank 2 content within SampleTank 4 if that says anything
