iRig Stomp vs. iRig HD 2

Postby rockbandguy » Fri Feb 01, 2019 6:22 pm

Hi,

I am owner of an iRig HD 2 and just discovered iRig Stomp which I find interesting.

My question:
Is the stomp a valuable addition to my inventory or should I look for other iRig hardware, especially when I want to use AmpliTube on pc, too? Thinking of the iRig Micro Amp or Axe I/O.

Best, Adrian

Do you mean https://www.ikmultimedia.com/irigstompio or https://www.ikmultimedia.com/irigstomp ?

The former would be a great way to control AmpliTube (and it is a great audio interface for it too). The latter plugs into the headphone jack of iOS devices and thus would be a step or more down in audio quality.

For PC, AXE I/O is truly the ultimate audio interface for AmpliTube (and guitar in general IMHO) and also has jacks on the back for control as well as MIDI ports for additional control.

I meant iRig Stomp (without I/O).
But I think I will look into the other suggested products…
