I used the same ‘device name’ for both my laptop and desktop, which never posed a problem until I noticed my DAW (Studio One) uses the device name to differentiate between ‘activated’ installs. Making it hard to manage my activations.
That said, I will probably have to rename my PC’s ( settings/system/about/rename) but before I do I’d like to know if this will cause any further problems with other software such as my Amplitube 4 and Custom Shop apps.
Are there any foreseeable problems concerning any IK Multimedia Apps by changing the PC’s device name ?

I am not sure - you might need to Authorize the products again.

I did in fact go forward and change the devices name, and so far have not had any problems.
