Saxophone isn't typically in an orchestra, likely due to its invention in around 1840 taking place after the layout of an orchestra was pretty solidly set for most composers. Some modern orchestras (and "studio orchestra" and that sort of thing) who may perform more modern or non-traditional pieces are more likely to include saxophone.
