Trigger different channels in sampletank / Reaper [Resolved]

Postby b.cardone00 » Tue Apr 10, 2018 2:30 pm

Hey Guys,

I have an Ikeys I/o 49 with reaper. I have routed my sampletank with 16 midi in track control and 16 outs in the mixer. My question is how do I get my controller to trigger midi channel two, three , 4 etc... and how do I toggle back and forth? Right now I can only trigger ch 1 with my ikeys, although I can select the instrument on ch. 2, i can only play on the virtual piano roll and not my controller...

You can find the steps to change the MIDI channel on which iRig Keys I/O transmits in the User Manual section 5.2.2.1

The packaging should have included a link to the manuals but you can also find them by clicking "Manuals" on the iRig Keys I/O product page

With Reaper, there are some other ways ;)

(a) use the track "MIDI Input" option to "Map input to channel":

(b) Set the desired MIDI channel in the MIDI Item Properties:

(c) Add a MIDI channelizer FX as an Input FX - this could make switching easier.

(d) Open the recorded MIDI clip in the MIDI Editor, select all the MIDI and change the MIDI channel:
