Popping when in background

Amplitube 5 standalone makes crackling sounds when minimized or when the window is unfocused. Sounds normal when the window is "focused". There might be a bit of crackling when the program is up, but it gets 100x worse when I have another window in front of it. Doesn't make any sense.

CPU usage is around 2-4%
24bit 44.1k, 128 buffer rate.
DI into Focusrite 4i4 4th gen

Using a simple SVX-15N setting.
ver 5.7.5

Update: running the program as an administrator seems to quell the audio artifacts, but this is a new development. I don't understand why I would have to do this. I haven't had this issue before. Still need to find the culprit.

Any update on this?

I'm having the same issue and running as admin helped for a bit but now its back to cracking really bad. Tried reinstalling Focusrite and Amplitube. I really don't want to have to reinstall windows
