No internet connection error

Hi everyone,

I really need some help here because I’m honestly out of ideas.

I bought a TONEX One pedal around 2-3 months ago from Turkey. I now live in France. I’ve been trying to use the pedal properly, but I’ve run into a really frustrating issue.

The IK Multimedia Manager won’t work at all. It keeps giving me this message when I launch it:

“You need an active Internet connection to use IK Product Manager. Please check your connection and try again.”

But here’s the thing – my internet connection is perfectly fine. Every other website and app works flawlessly. Yet I can’t access your website either (ikmultimedia.com doesn’t load at all from my computer).

I’ve tried:
• Restarting my router and computer
• Disabling my firewall and antivirus
• Using VPN (no luck)
• Installing the software again

Still, the same error.

So right now, I have a fully licensed product that I can’t even use because of what seems to be a problem on your side.

I’m seriously frustrated because I’ve spent good money on this device and it’s completely unusable due to something that’s out of my control.

Is there any workaround?
Any server issues on IK’s end that I should know about?
How can I activate or use my product?

I’d really appreciate any advice or help. Thanks in advance!

I've checked and the IK site and all properties used to authorize/etc products are working and reachable. I would recommend checking things like your HOSTS file (I would also recommend looking up more information about the whats and wheres and whys and hows before changing anything there too) since it seems like something is preventing you from accessing IK's site. With regard to HOSTS files, no IK software changes nor has ever changed this file, but there are instances where something did and for forum rules reasons I will leave it at that :)
