Uno Synth Pro X audio-in

I am new to the Uno Synth Pro x and would like to use the audio in with another synth I own in order to use filters and effects from the uno. When I plug my other synth in to the audio-in on the uno I am only able to use filters when I am also pressing a key on the uno at the same time. This is the only time the other synth comes through. Am I doing something wrong? Is it capable of just running through the uno without making sounds on the uno itself? If so, I may need to return it.

How do you have the Audio setting set in the Global settings? You can find more information in the manual:

4.2.7 – AUDIO
Configures the routing for the external Audio IN signal. Choices are FIXED PRE, FIXED POST and PRESET

Thanks I will take a look. I had trouble finding global settings. Is it under Midi stuff in the desktop app?
