iLoud MM pro default volumn too loud

Postby zhanker » Thu Feb 13, 2025 6:34 am

Hi, I am wondering if there is a way that we can lower the default volumn level? Currently it sounds way too loud at the center detent (0dB). I am using a PC and even I set the system volunm level down to 1, it still sounds very loud. And the noisefloor is loud too. It can be heard even 1 meter away.

I don't think I am supposed to adjust the volumn knob right? So what should I do?

You can lower the default volume level by adjusting the software settings or using an external attenuator. Check if your audio driver or software has a gain control. Also, lowering the output level in your PC’s sound settings may help.

Thanks for the reply. But I don't think it's a problem with my computer system, even if I unplug them from my computer, their noisefloor is still there. I don't know why the manufacturer set the gain so high by default. Hope they can get a update of firmware to solve this problem.

This doesn't appear to be a global issue so I wouldn't wait for a firmware update to appear, please report your issue to IK Support via https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/hw and they will assist you directly and get your issue taken care of properly.
