Connecting ARC Studio to Apollo Twin

Postby huggehugge » Tue Feb 04, 2025 3:10 pm

Probably a stupid question, but how do I connect my Apollo to the ARC? Is it from the Apollo Mic/line 1 and 2 or line out 3 and 4 to the inputs of the ARC (using TRS - XLR in that case)?

Thanks!

You'd connect it as if you were connecting studio monitors so the outputs. In most DAWs you can choose which you use or use multiple pairs of outputs for multiple monitors so it really would be your choice if you used 3&4 or whatever outputs you planned on sending out to studio monitors.

Ah thanks! That makes a lot of sense. Is it normal to hear almost no bass and low mids after the room eq?

That's a bit extreme from the sound of it (pun intended). I would try to re-measure and if you get the same results reach out to IK Support. Your room probably isn't THAT extreme to cause that :)

Will do! Another thing i noticed is that sometimes a high pitched crackling noise together with white noise-y sound comes from one or both of the speakers. It goes away when I turn the correction off. I wonder what could be the cause of it?

Once you re-measure I bet you don't hear that again. If you do, make sure you disconnect the USB connection and check (since you don't need the USB connection once you load the measurement on to ARC Studio). If it goes away it may be a bus noise/USB/power type of interference or similar.
