Still here and still questions.
And yes, I may be a complete idjut here....
Cubase 14 is perhaps unique, but, after recording the B-3X, within Cubase's MIDI Editor there are visual representations of various CC codes that Cubase is recognizing that I do not want. There are even CCs that are activated that are not even noted in the B-3X software - as if there is a 'ghost' command happening. CC 74 ('Brightness' in the MIDI Editor) shows up within the Cubase recording data but it is a CC that is not even listed in the B-3X CCs... Why does this happen? How do I stop it? Also bear in mind, my NC2X has 50 unassigned MIDI commands that could avoid some other problems I'm seeing - but the B-3X software will not let me change the CC number to one that is avaialble. A great example here is the Leslie Brake. When I go to change the B-3X MIDI command 'CC 02' and change it to one of my other available MIDI CCs, the B-3X software will ONLY let me select CC 64. Which is the Steinberg 'Sustain' CC (and also the B-3X Sustain Pedal CC). Cubase will 'LEARN' the simple ON/OFF footswitch command and actually commit to the Brake function that is plugged into a mono jack on the NC2X (that is designated there for a Sustain pedal). AND ,yes, the B-3X recognizes it as a switch - and not a momentary connection like a true Sustain pedal would. However...why can't I select a different CC #, one of the 50 I have available to me?
Am I missing something obvious? Is there a trick to mapping CCs in the B-3X that I don't know about? Thanks for any response.
Oh.... When I say the B-3X will - 'only let me select CC 64', what I mean is, as I go to LEARN the function, at that time, whatever number I have put in the CC window of the B-3X (and I can put any number from 1-127 in the CC window), the number '64' will appear and the connection is made to control the Brake with CC 64.
