Hello,
I recently purchased a pair of iLoud MTM monitors and added a subwoofer to achieve a more defined low-end (there's too much port noise with the MTMs when producing electronic music).
I’m now considering adding an ARC Studio system to calibrate the entire setup, as I can no longer use the built-in ARC Room Correction of the MTMs due to the addition of the subwoofer.
However, I’m concerned about the potential impact of multiple conversions and latency. The iLoud MTMs have a built-in DSP, meaning there’s already an AD/DA conversion and some added latency. Adding an ARC Studio would result in a second AD/DA conversion and additional latency. I’m worried that these combined conversions and latencies might create issues, both in terms of sound quality and responsiveness.
Has anyone tested this configuration?
Is it possible to completely disable the built-in DSP on the MTMs to avoid an extra layer of processing?
Thanks in advance!
