Once you click the Transfer button in your IK User Area you will unregister your TONEX Pedal and receive an email with the serials for the TONEX Pedal, AmpliTube 5, and TONEX MAX.

You can find steps in this FAQ: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/index.php?id=44 (note that there is no license transfer credit required to transfer TONEX Pedal, it is a free transfer)

Can the pedal only be transferred once? Suppose I bought it used, try it out and find that it is not suited for my needs, can I then in turn transfer it along with all associated necessary software?

Thanks,
Derek

You should have a transfer button, which would enable the transfer and email you the serials for AmpliTube 5 and TONEX MAX to provide to the buyer. Please inquire with IK Support so they can look directly at your account and such to provide proper assistance. Thank you.

I was told specifically by IK Support that regardless of purchasing the transfer credit, that the software was not transferable according to your terms and conditions. It kind of undermines the purpose of purchasing a transfer credit.?
This was after I purchased the transfer credit, and the transfer button did not appear active. Would certainly like to know if this information was incorrect.

If you are working with IK Support, the followup question should be directed at them in the ticket. They will give you the most correct information as the admins and moderators of this forum cannot. You can ask the support rep to verify if you believe their answer to be incorrect or not to your satisfaction.

If you already own and have Amplitube 5 Max v2 installed on your PC, will you in effect have two licenses, Amplitube 5 Max v2 you have installed and a transferred version license of the lesser variety of Amplitube 5?

Will there be contention between the set of licenses (as in multiple serial numbers)/new installs that come as transfers with a used Tonex pedal (Tonex pedal, Tonex Max, Amplitube 5)?

I do not know if the serial number database is setup to handle multiple entries for same product family, but differing product levels. It would seem you should have rights to all you have bought, new or used.

I've been looking for an answer to that too. Because I have already owned amplitube 5 before I had the Tonex. Would be really nice if IK could clarify that.

I sold my Tonex Pedal online and made the license transfer of Tonex Max on my pages on IK:s homepage. I never got an email with the codes for the software. So I wrote support. This is the answer I got.

Please get back to me as soon as possible, as the buyer is awaiting the codes for the software. The process is supposed to be automatic, isn't it?

BR
A.

Two days later I recieved the exact samt answer from IK Multidia as qouted above. How the heck am my supposed to go forward with this?

Okey, that sounds good. Thank you Peter.

The info on you webpage is quite clear in my opinion. It says:

*Due to the nature of their included software, owners of TONEX Pedal, TONEX ONE, ARC Studio, UNO Synth, UNO Drum, UNO Synth Pro, and UNO Synth Pro X will not require a License Transfer Credit.

Yes, that is correct. TONEX Pedal/ONE do not require a License Transfer Credit.

Re: Is the TONEX pedal transferable?

@Peter_IK

I recently purchased a used Tonex pedal from a big box store. While trying to register it I got the message:

"Registration Failed"
"Server Error: Serial Number registered by another user (code: 205)"

I contacted customer support on June 7 and received a reply on June 9 asking me to provide my sales receipt. I quickly replied back the same day with a pdf copy of my sales receipt and the registration card that came in the box with my serial number on it.

I have not had a response back in 5 days. I'm not necessarily complaining, as I'm sure customer support is plenty busy. I'm curious what the average response time is and I just want to make sure that they received my sales receipt.

Do you, or anyone on here, know the average time it takes to get the Tonex pedal (and software) registration transferred? Is there any way to find out if my sales receipt was received?

Thank you for any help or info you can give!
