IK Product Manager listings have flipped...

Postby Timo2019 » Wed Mar 13, 2024 1:21 am

Opened IKPM today and all the product listings have flipped alphabetically, so Ampltube is now at the bottom ( actually the ARC System 4 TRY/BUY is at the bottom) and Tonex is at the top... Is there a way to switch back? Thx

This was the answer from support... ? ...
"It seems that there has been some changes to the IK Product Manager.
The products will not be listed as before."

Don't know what to make of this...

Reply to Support, saying that you do not understand their reply and ask for clarification.

Could the order be related to what is installed, needs an update etc?

From support...
"Thanks for your patience while we got back to you.
It is from an update and you will only see this change if you are on the updated IK Product Manager."

 ...guess I'm up to date...?

Again ... .
Reply to Support, saying that you (and I) do not understand their reply and ask for clarification.

What is the new order meant to be?

And, of course, people on the non-updated Product Manager are forced to update it ;)

My reply...
"So what you're saying is, this 'flipped' format is the new 'normal'? Is there a way to go back to the earlier version without automatically updating to the newest version? Thx"

Their reply...

"Thanks for your patience while we got back to you.

Unfortunately, there is no way to revert back to the IK Product Manager with the old format."

And that is where it stands...

It isn't flipped alphabetically, the release notes should state that it lists installed items first with that version update. If you need to see a particular product quickly, the list should update with results while you type in the search box near the top.

Since IK Product Manager doesn't list itself in the Software section - that would probably be too "meta" or cause some sort of rupture in the space/time continuum :) - you can find them by doing the following: Click your username near the top right of the interface and choose "What's New".

I will relay suggestions for additional sorting/filtering and, from me, maybe finding a way to make the release notes for IK Product Manager a bit more obvious/intuitive. And without causing "IKProductManagerception".

Thx for info, though interestingly enough, the notes are for 1.1.3 and the installed software version is 1.1.4... ;)
