Help I can only get clean signal throught amplitube 5 max

Have purchased IK multimedia axe i/o with amplitube 5 max and tonex max but on opening amplitube 5 , i can only get clean signal, no matter what preset i access. Please help. this is driving me crazy.

Is the input meter in Amplitube (lower left corner) showing any input? I'm wondering if you don't actually have Amplitube setup correctly, and what you're hearing is direct monitoring from the Axe I/O.
