Looking for some help.
I am set up with Amplitube 5 CS and I use a focusrite Solo for my home interface. Windows 11 on a gaming laptop. No ram issues or anything like that and my daw is Mixcraft.
The sound I get out of Amplitube sounds more like it is a pedal with crunchy distortion. I just can't seem to get it sound like a natural amp with cab.
My buddy uses GarageBand and it's amp sim with a similar interface, and it sounds like an actual guitar amp. He even plugged in to my setup and couldn't get it sounding similar.
I have tried both the hi-z/instrument inputs, I have made sure things are not clipping, I even turned the guitar levels down, it just seems odd with a free software he can just plug in and go, but mine sounds like crap right off the start.
I must be missing something.
Any suggestions?
Ps... tried a couple different guitars from a Strat to epiphone.
It's not the guitar, it just sounds more like a pedal.
