Yes.
I would install the
software onto your system disk, to avoid possible complications. You can install the
sounds library onto any disk you like.
- Using the IK Product Manager: install the MP2 CE software only,
- Run the MP2 CE stand-alone program and set the desired sounds library folder location in its Preference Settings (e.g. X/IK Multimedia/SampleTank 3/ ). That folder is used as, historically, the MP2 sounds can be used in ST3 too.
- Using the IK Product Manager: install the MP2 CE sounds library.
The IKPM should pick up the desired folder location if not, then report that as a bug.
I´m considering to order Syntronik 2 Max and install it on my Macbook. My hard drive on 250 GB will probably be to small (I need to have some other programs and documents there as well). My question is: will it work to install it on a separate hard drive? Thanks a lot!
