installed Sampletank 4,do I have to install SE too?

I have both ST 4 standard version and SE, I have installed 4 Standard, do I still have to install SE too or am I going to download and install files I have already? The Product Manager looks like I can still install SE

In my opinion they look quite the same with the only difference of what sounds are included, so I would not install it in case of program is rewrited and you finish with a limited version, but I think engine is the same.

In my case I also have the option of installing it but I understand that is cause it allow me to install in other machines. For example, I could have the Sampletank 4 in my studio computer and Sampletank SE in my wife laptop as they are diferent products. But of course people from IK will know better.

My advice is not to do it. With your sampletank 4 you have much more thant with SE. Why to install and smaller software?

Thanks. Yeah, that is what I thought. Quite frankly Sampletank 4 has all the sounds I'll ever imagine, and more. Even the 100 gb version absolutely blows my mind.

actually, no, IK wrote to me that they recommend to install everything and that each version has its own specific instruments and samples

I was always under the impression that Sampletank 4 Max contains all the sounds that SampleTank 4 SE and SampleTank 4 contain. (Same with V2)

At least that’s what the IKM supplied comparison charts lead me to believe.
