SampleTron 2 install path?

Hi everybody, one question:

If I install i.e. Simpleton 2 sounds, should the install path be

1. Sound libraries/Ik Multimedia/

or

2. Sound libraries/Ik Multimedia/SampleTron2/

I saw that the installer creates this tree

Instuments
Library Info
Library Resources
Samples


the reason I'm asking is because I see that the Samples folder has got inside a SampleTron2 folder, so I'm wandering if the above tree is common to all libraries so I should not go for option 2

2 At least that is what I have done. Same goes for SampleTank 4 and Syntronik 2. But SampleTank 3, Miroslav Philharmonik 2, Syntronik 1 all go into .../IK Multimedia/SampleTank 3/

The difference is because you can specify multiple paths in ST4's Sound Content, but only a single path in ST3. And you may wish to uses mixtures of the instruments in SampleTank.

So I have 4 folders:

X:/IK Multimedia/SampleTank 3/
X:/IK Multimedia/SampleTank 4/
X:/IK Multimedia/SampleTaon 2/
X:/IK Multimedia/Syntronik 2/

and all 4 are in ST4's Sound Content list

so for SampleTron 2 I'm creating a specific folder (even if I don't understand why it was not originally created by the installer - and I'm sure you got my doubts about sharing part of the content with other libraries - and it's not the case

and I'm doing the same for Syntronik

not clear what I should do with ST4 big folder including all of them
(I don't own ST3, and it's not part of the Studio Max 3.5 bundle, is it?)

and I also would like to ask you, for ST4 sounds should I donwload only Max or also SE sounds?

ST4 MAX library only, it includes the SE library.

But, if possible, I would do one library download at a time - to avoid confusion if there are any problems and to be able to tidy up the IKPM downloads folder as you go (back up the sounds library downloads to an archive disk).

I do not have TS3.5 MAX itself, but I would be interested to know what individual libraries are listed in the IKPM. For example, for Syntronik 2 MAX here, I have

Syntronik 2 MAX (179.8 GB, 126 files)
and all the individual Syntronik synth libraries (each a few GB and a few files).

I did the synths individually for the reasons I mentioned above.

I should address the installers to these folders:

X:/IK Multimedia/SampleTank 4/

X:/IK Multimedia/SampleTron 2/that will include
Instruments
Library Info
Library Resources
Samples/SampleTron2

X:/IK Multimedia/Syntronik 2/

and have all of these ones in a bigger "SampleTank4 Sound Libraries" folder?

"X:/IK Multimedia/" is up to you - depending on your disks and how you want to organize your sounds libraries.

Each of the installers creates the Instruments, Library Info, Library Resources and Samples folders and puts the relevant folders and files in them.

So this is what I'm doing:

- I'm installing instruments on my main Mac drive, specifically:
Miroslaw 2, Sample Tank 4, Sample Tron 2, Syntronik 2;
next I'm installing Modo Bass 2 (not 1, as I'm not installing Syntronik 1), Modo Drum;
I don't have ST3, so I'll not install it;

I'll later take care of AmpliTube5, Hammond B3X, Larsen Mastering Console, T-Racks 5;
Arc System3, Mix Box and Tonex no idea what they are, yet;

- sound libraries folder on external drive:
IK Multimedia
SampleTank4 Sound Libraries
Sample Tank 4
SampleTron 2
Syntronik 2
Modo Bass 2
Modo Drum

does this look fine?

@darkstar I'll later tell you about Syntronik 2, tha main sound library is 67.6 gb
and there's a numbr of other synths (99, Blue, Bully...) that I have not idea if they are in the main pack - I'll tell you better soon
