How is deleting a cab possible in a capture

I realized you can delete/swap out a cab in a amp/cab capture. How's that possible?

Is TONEX really able to split what part of the capture was the amp and what part was the cab?

I think (though I could be wrong) that you can make an amp+cab capture or an amp-only capture, but you cannot "remove" the cab from an amp+cab capture once it is made. I think you would have to do a new capture of just the amp (with no cab).

(Of course, you can also do stomp-only, stomp+amp-only, stomp+amp+cab, etc.)
