I'm trying a re-install. It's weird because the installer file name has v1.0.4 but the installer itself when installing says 1.0.1... so I guess I should assume that means the installer itself is 1.0.4, but the app itself is still 1.0.1.

Well... that didn't work. Stand-alone app still crashes when I try to get to the TONENET. I wish they had more verbose error handling/logging in the windows event log.

Well, sad to say on the 3rd day since the reload, I've had some crashing while on ToneNet and scrolling through the various models. Tech support told me that will be fixed with the next 1.0.2 update. Apparently, this is a known issue that will be addressed. I the meantime, I'm still enjoying the Professional models which I have access to without jumping onto ToneNet.
Patiently waiting...

Well... once again it's crashing for no apparent reason. I've changed nothing. Just opened my DAW to start playing with it and just started crashing again... so disappointing.

Yeah, as I mentioned earlier, it crashes sometimes when using it in my DAW (Traktion Waveform). Although I can get it running by restarting the DAW 2 or 3 times and by not clicking on the link to ToneNet. I guess that's something because I have full access to the Professional models from IK Multimedia, just not the user generated models.
Tech support told me that this issue should be fixed in the next update.

So far the new update seems more stable ... AND I can actually access the microphone modifications now... although I can only select from 3 mic's ever? That one's a little bizarre.

Yes! Seems to have resolved the issues that I was having when accessing ToneNet. No crashes yet. Way to go IKM!

Did you guys receive an email saying that there was a new update? or did you keep looking in the product manager?
I see it and downloading....hopefully, that fixes everything.

I received an email from IKM support about the update to Amplitube 5.5.1 and Tonex 1.0.2.
Been playing and testing for a few hours now and haven't had any issues with ToneNet and crashing. Tried the stand-alone, plug-in and in Amplitube. Working great so far!

Well...Tonex is back to crashing whenever I click on ToneNet. This happens in the standalone and plugin version. Ugh!
