AmpliTube 5.4 is out!

Postby dscheidt » Thu Mar 31, 2022 4:56 pm

All,
Amplitube 5.4 is out! Here's the release notes from the IK Product Manager:

Changes from version 5.3.0:

Introducing ToneNET preset sharing community*
Added Apple M1 support
Added CPU optimization for MESA Boogie 2 Collection models
Fixed potential crash with Vibratone aux cabinets
Fixed GUI issues related to T-REX Mudhoney

ToneNET is *very* cool, but I'm mainly excited about the Apple Silicon (M1) support. Just ran it on the base model Mac Studio connected to an Axe I/O and was able to set the buffer size to 16 on the stand alone app with *no glitching at all*

Great job IK!!! Can't wait to get the T-Racks stuff running under Apple Silicon!!!

Ah yes ToneNET was what I was hinting about in the M1 update thread :)

Tough one for sure! We had a ToneNET and M1 + other fixes as separate builds/branches and then had to merge and test once we were able to go live with both. Luckily the timing worked out very well so nothing suffered. Whew.

I was just enjoying the compliment and you go and do that?? Haha just kidding. However, I don't have a specific timeline for T-RackS M1 but will share information as I do get it. Thanks!

LOL, no worries, you guys have done awesome! Buffer size of 16 with no crackle or artifacts, just amazing. I'm sure the M1 conversion has been challenging, but please let them know it is much appreciated!
