Howdy, having a really weird problem with my new Uno Synth Pro, when connected to my (also new) Casio PX 560 stage piano as a controller. (Piano MIDI out to Uno MIDI in.)
Things seem to work as expected, unless I click one of the "registration" buttons on the piano... which switches to not just another voice, but a full preset (all four voices, any splits/layering, effects settings, and so on).
I would expect the Uno to pretty much ignore all of that, and that would be fine. The problem is that pressing any of them causes the Uno to immediately REBOOT (which of course means going through the whole calibration routine, too.)
That was definitely *not* expected. Doesn't happen when just changing voices, or starting/stopping rhythms, changing tempos, working mod/pitch wheels, turning assignable knobs, or anything else I can think of. And of course it doesn't happen if I'm doing the opposite... going from the MIDI out of the Uno to the MIDI in of the piano, to run a sequence on it or whatever. (Didn't expect it would, just being thorough.)
I haven't yet tried to capture what the piano is sending out with those button pushes that is putting the Uno in such a tizzy, but in the meantime has anybody run into or dealt with such a thing? The Uno Synth Pro responding to an incoming MIDI message with a full reboot cycle?
Thanks!
