can i do funky riffs ? what pedals i need ? (style Miles Davis)

Most Miles Davis I can recall that is more funk featured pretty clean guitar parts. Maybe a little breakup but mostly clean. Also some wah of course, maybe some envelope filter type of effect. You might want to search through presets for funk in AmpliTube for some inspiration.

I would recommend some of the Fender amps and/or those in the clean category, maybe JC-120 as that is what I used during my college days where I spent years in a funk band. But if you do want to explore clean with some breakup when pushed harder I'd go with Fender amps.

Nice. I was looking for some funk examples from the inimitable Keytar Jeff who uses a similar chain but I didn't find them. I'm sure he does some funky riffs too, even though he really does rock surprisingly hard with a keytar
