AT5 as Plug-In

Postby fichtenelch983 » Fri Apr 16, 2021 8:17 pm

I got AT5 SE and used it as standalone application. Now i would like to use it in Ableton Live as a plug-in. Is there a dedicated version i have to install?

Thank You

It should already be installed. IIRC, Live only has one path to detect vst's. If that is still true then you'll have to either change the vst location or possible drag the .dll into the detected folder.

If you are on mac, I can't remember how that works.

Thank you for your quick reply. I tried to have a look in the installation directory of the software in C:\Program Files\IK Multimedia\AmpliTube 5.

These are the files i found:

    AmpliTube 5.app.pak
    AmpliTube 5.exe
    AmpliTube 5.pak
    unins000.dat
    unins000.exe

I set the Plug-In directory for VST2 and VST3 in Ableton to the installtion directory and performed a rescan. The Plug-In section remains empty. I also tried to restart Ableton. Still nothing

The vst3 folder should be C/program files/common vst3.

The other can be C/program files/Steinberg or vstplugins or something like that. If all else fails, you can reinstall and tell AT5 where to go, I think anyways.

Those files are not the VST plug-ins.

As livesforrap recommends, rerun the AT5 installer, make sure you select the plug-in format(s) you want and pick the appropriate destination folder(s).
