SampleTank 4 standalone not responding

Hi

I'm having an issue with the standalone version of Sampletank 4. When I launch it, the main window shows up, but nothing happens, and the mourse cursor becomes the blue 'wait' spinner half of the time. If I click on anything, the window fades out to grey for a while with '(not responding)' written in the window bar. Then the windows fades back, and this just goes on and on - I have had it run for many hours, and it is still putting up the blue spinner half of then time and it's is impossible to do anything.

Any clues to what i can try to solve this?

Some machine and operating system specs might help.

Are you on version 4.1.3 of Sampletank 4?

Is your Windows fully patched?

Are all your hardware drivers up to date?
(Using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates)

Has Sampletank 4 ever worked?

The specs:

Windows 10, fully patched, i7-7700, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD for programs (incl samples), 500GB SSD for recordings
Drivers for motherboard devices (USB, network etc.) are up to date.

Sampletank 4.1.3
AmpliTube 5.0.2
Miroslav Philharmonic 2.0.6
Syntronik 1.2.0

DAW: PreSonus Studio One 4.6.2
Audio interface: Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 with newest drivers, no other ASIO devices

Sampletank 4 works as a plugin in Studio One. I don't know if it ever worked as stanalone as this is the first time trying to use it that way. (Some of my libraries are missing, but i hope that is an unrelated issue).

AmpliTube and Miroslav Philharmonic works as standalone, but neither Sampletank nor Syntronik works.

Yes, I have contacted IK support, but no response yet.

And a little more debugging:

No messages in the Windows Event Logs that seem suspicious and according to Resource Monitor, the SampleTank.exe process is neither reading nor writing files or doing network I/O, so I am a bit out of clues for what to look for.
