I noticed the IK product manager saves the Mac install files (.dmg) in a folder on the drive. I have .dmg files from amplitube 4, 5, and SampleTank. For some products there are multiple versions that take up several GB of space. Is there any reason to keep these?

I would probably keep them, but move them to a back-up disk. Having said that, if you do delete them, you can always download them again.
One thing to do is set the "downloads" destination folder to a different location or disk, in the IKPM's Preference Settings.
