Amplitube 5: Where did all of my speakers go?

Postby fiveblairs » Wed Dec 16, 2020 4:50 pm

I just installed Amplitube 5 CS. All of my purchased gear transferred over, however the majority of the speakers I had available in Amplitube 4 to customize cabinets are not available. Most importantly the Celestion Blue Alnico is gone. I use this in a number of my custom presets.

What gives?

It's not here either. Kinda strange.

If you do a Restore Purchases in the Custom Shop application and don't see them, please de-authorize and then re-authorize AmplITube 5 CS in IK Product Manager. If neither of those does the trick, IK Support can help you via http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support

I vaguely think it got renamed; to "Brit Alnico B".

Peter - I tried doing the restore my gear. No luck. I have the individual speakers available for all of the cabinets that are in my gear collection. I do not have access to any other individual speakers. Is this a change from Amplitube 4? In Amplitube 4 I could access all speakers even though I didn't own all of the cabinets.

If this is a case, it's a drag that the new version is more restrictive.

Might be related, the brit alnico b and g are locked out in 5 but not in 4.

Unfortunately, I miss speakers, too. I asked Peter_ik three times in another thread and he finally answered that everything availalable in AT4 will be available in AT5. That however, is not the case. There are aprox. 16 speakers missing.

Yeah, there is something funky going on. Not sure how to present a ticket yet.

Several other gear models have been renamed too, many to standardize the naming convention (this is based on the names in the AT5 Comparison Chart and the old Custom Shop Gear Models user manual)

For example, try these AMPS:
SVX-15N, was HERITAGE B-15N
SVX-15R, was B-15R
SVX-4B, was V-4B
SVX-500, was BA-500

And these CABS:
1x12 ‘65 Deluxe Reverb, was '65 Deluxe Reverb 1x12
1x12 ’57 Deluxe, was '57 Deluxe 1x12
1x15 SVX-B15N, was B-15N 115 (and named 1x15 SVX-115 in the new Custom Shop)

The speakers are present, however they are locked out unless you have purchased the the specific cabinet appears in. This is not the case in AT4. Very frustrating in that I won't be able to recreate some of my primary rigs from AT4.

Peter - Can you double check to see if AT5 now requires the purchase of a specific cabinet to unlock that cabinet's speaker for use in other cabinets? This was not the case in AT4. It looks like it is the case in AT5.

You can check what is in each version of AmpliTube 5 on the AmpliTube 5 web page which includes what speakers are available. For questions specific to your account, IK Support will need to take a look directly with you.

Is there a solution in sight? I have all speakers available for changing in A4, not anymore in A5. That can't be right.

If you don't have access to something on the charts/links in the link I posted, please work with IK Support who can look directly at your account and explain what is going on in your specific case.
