Can I uninstall custom shop and still keep the free plugin?

Hi there,

I Got white 2A free with computer music magazine and have installed it, but quite a big download and install for one plugin.

Can I now uninstall the custom shop and still keep the plugin, as I believe the custom shop takes up quite a bit of space on my drive?

Hello donegaljoe and welcome to the forum.

The Custom Shop program here is less than 30 MB; I would just keep it. And the free T-RackS that you installed also includes the Classic EQ (I think). As you have seen the installer installs all of the T-RackS plug-ins so that they are readily available to Try (for which you will need the Custom Shop program running.)

You might be able to remove the other plug-ins. You could try moving their .dll files to another folder temporarily and double-check that White 2A still runs OK (not sure, I've never done it). Remember that when you update T-RackS 5 they will all be reinstalled.

hi how do I remove all the plugins except the AmpliTube guitar amp? wish to remove sample tank and t racks 5.. space on my computer is sparse..

What OS/platform are you on, as the process is different for each?

Uninstall
On the mounted DMG, double-click on the ‘Uninstall’ icon and follow the onscreen instructions.

The uninstaller is in the original download package for the app/software. If you haven't got the original download, then go to your User Area>My Products and click on Past Releases for each app. Download and mount the installer and you will find the un-installer there as well.

Thank you so much for your assistance.. it says its uninstalled.. but for some reason my daw still shows those options when I open my plugins folder.. in either case, have uninstalled them and moved related files to trash... hope the respective space is freed up..

What DAW are you using? If it's Logic Pro, sometimes you need to rescan plugins for it to refresh the list.

Can anybody help me?
I've just updated Custom Shop through IK Product Manager from version 1.8 to 2.0 but I 've got 2 versions installed on my PC now!
Can I uninstall version 1.8 or do I have to keep both running on my PC?
