Amplitube 5 upgrade pricing?

I hope IK Mulitmedia is going to take care of its current Amp 4/Max users with a free or substantial upgrade pricing. I just purchased Amp 4 Max a few months ago. I looked at upgrade pricing and it is $399($299 discounted now)?????? It seems that as soon as I buy a version they release something new and I get stuck with the last version. I'm not paying another $300 to upgrade this time.

I am a Protools, Waves etc user and even they upgrade to next versions for free if you buy the software within a year of a new release. I hope IK Multimedia does the same.

Can't wait to use Amp 5 though. Come on IK Multimedia hook a brotha(s) up!!!!!

I think IK should offer a Free upgrade for anyone who purchased Amp 4 or Max to upgrade to the current ver 5 (of whatever they purchased) at no cost. All other companies do that now. Waves, Avid, etc if you purchase their software within a year of a new release they give you any upgraded version free. I have Protools and Waves and others that now do this.

Yes you will still have those packs, it is indicated on the product page that any existing gear can be loaded in Amplitube 5

So after looking at the lists of gear included in each package, I would have to get the 150$ Amplitube 5 to get the 5 new amps and the 2 new stomps. The new amps and stomps are not in the SE version. I wouldn'thave to get MAX because I already own all the new collections (Brian MAy, Dimebag, Satriani, etc..)

Keep in mind that you also get the entire list of legacy amps upgraded with new cab IRs and reworked amp modelling. Also, I'm pretty sure IK has been applying the new modelling architecture in Amplitube 5 to several of the newer collections like Brian May, Fender 2, Satriani. Speculating but there is a clear difference between those and the legacy amps. Anyone look into what the deal is with the rack units. Are those included in only certain versions?
