AXE I/O Solo setup problem [Resolved]

Postby wheresmymind » Thu Oct 15, 2020 5:03 am

My Axe i/o solo connects to a USB hub which is powered by my Macbook power supply (29w - Output: 14.5v 2.0A or 5.2v 2.4A). The hub is then connected to my Macbook (Only 1 USB C on Macbook). I did install the Axe solo Control Panel and Product Manager and registered.

My problem is my AXE won't connect to my Macbook. The USB led won't turn on and "no axe i/o found" in FIRMWARE UPDATER. But I can hear the guitar from the headphone output.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I am sorry to hear about the problems you are running into.

As this is primarily a user to user forum, someone-else may chime in [#]. Meanwhile, the best thing to do is check the FAQs, via here. If they do not resolve the issue, there is a link at the top to the Technical Support form, for some one to one investigation and help. Response time is usually within 2 working days (US (East Coast) Business hours, generally), but in the current circumstances please allow some more time.

[#] But please remember that the same symptoms do not necessarily mean the same problem.

And, to help others who run into a similar problem, please let us know what you did to resolve the problem, but without directly quoting any correspondence from Support.

PS: it would be best to change your Account Name away from an email address, to minimise the chance of it being harvested by web bots and you receiving all sorts of 'special offers', bank account verification requests, Amazon Prime renewals, Ray-ban sunglasses, tax refunds etc from all over the place for years and years. You can change it here:.

Good oh. :) I thought that all USB3 devices were USB2-compatible.
