guitar not working though amplitube [Resolved]

Hi, I have downloaded the free version of amplitube 4 and am using it as a VST plug in on ableton. I'm using a focusrite scarlet audio interface to plug my guitar into my pc which on its own is working, however it is not going through amplitube as the tone is clean as if amplitube was not open and amplitube is not even registering the sound if I play it. I have all ASIO drivers needed downloaded so don't know why this is happening. Any suggestions of how to get it working would be appreciated.

Does AT4 work if you run it as standalone without Ableton? What Scarlett AI do you have?

Its a scarlet solo 3rd gen and yes still with the same problem.
Have a feeling it may be to do with how I'm setting up the audio settings on ableton/aplitube standalone but not sure how to do it properly.

Yep, the Solo has a bit of a gotcha in that the Inst input is Input 2.

So, in AT4 standalone, under Audio MIDI Settings make sure that the Left input is set to Input 2.

I don't use Ableton but I would assume that a similar change to the Track Input is required.

Thanks for your help been trying to get it working for weeks now, guitar is going through amplitube fine now. Not too sure how I would do this in Ableton as I am quite new to the software but sure there is a tutorial somewhere.

Glad you've got it working as standalone.

To get AT4 working in Ableton Live, make sure your Scarlett is chosen as audio input and output in preferences, then:

1) Select an audio channel
2) Make sure channel 2 is selected as input
3) Switch Monitor to 'IN'

You should now be hearing your guitar through Live. If you now drop AT4 onto the channel or into the effects row you'll now be hearing it through the amp sims.

You might have to zoom in on the screen shot and, as this is only the freebie version it may look different to your Ableton window.
