The sound library is all new sounds so you'd want to download and install that. You don't need SampleTank 4 CS itself.

Sample tank 4 is crashing in stand alone and DAW mode on windows 10 after update to 4.1. Anyone else having problem? I am also having this problem with modo drums. Modo bass seems to work and amplitube works. Thought maybe it was a windows update issue from yesterday but rolled that back and still same issue. Opened support ticket.

thanks. I had opened up a ticket but have not had a response for a couple of days. This is just crazy on my surface laptop I have no problems running it whatsoever on my desktop I can't get sample tank 4 or Modo drum to work every other IK multimedia device I have works fine. I changed nothing I just stopped working. They crash whether I open them and stand alone mode or if I open them as a VST or even as a VST3. I sent crash logs along with my support ticket hoping I can get some kind of resolution as it's holding up a project. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I believe that something is being left behind because paths but I had changed when I initially installed to put the library in different locations are being retained.

Correct, if you already have SampleTank 4, SampleTank 4 MAX, or SampleTank 4 SE you just need to download the 4.1x installer and if you would like the new 4GB+ of new CS sounds (they are very good) you should download and install that sound library installer and install it.
