Just got the Axe i/o and works perfectly with iPad Pro 3rd Gen. Both channels record independent as well on my daw. Not sure if they made a update, but I’m very satisfied with this purchase.

Paul, I'm assuming you're asking about the digital to analog converter (DAC) and the analog to digital converter (ADC). It's on the product spec page:

So I'd like to know if the AXE can handle an high impedance headphone or I should get a dedicated amp... :?:

I use Sony MDR-7506 headphones and they are rated at 63 Ohms and at 1/4 headphone volume, the AXE I/O is plenty loud with no distortion.

Going back the AXE I/O spec:

Well at least you know the AXE I/O won't overpower your headphones... it would up to you to try it out and see how it sounds...
