irig keys I/O 49 extremely low sound

Postby artbywaqas » Mon Dec 24, 2018 8:45 am

I just got the irig keys I/O 49 and the sound is extremely low when I try to connect my desktop speakers via the headphone jack.

I have my iPad and volume knob on the irig keys and on my speakers turned up as loud as they can go.

Can I just tell it to output sound from my iPad instead? When I disconnect the Irig Keys to my iPad and just have the sound from Sampletank playing on the iPad play through the same speakers with the help of a bluetooth adapter it plays loud and clear just as expected.

Please tell me there's got a be a way to fix this

You can try to output from the iRig Keys I/O outputs (not the headphone jack) to see if that helps but you should also have volume from the headphone output. I'd suggest opening a ticket with IK Support for direct technical assistance as this doesn't seem to be normal behavior.

Also, you cannot route the output through the iPad speaker when you have an audio interface connected and in use, this is by design by Apple in iOS.

Thanks for the quick reply Peter_IK.

This is rather disappointing. Hopefully I’m just doing something wrong.

I’m using these speakers

https://us.creative.com/p/speakers/inspire-t10

I know these are not professional quality but they are what I already have and for now good enough.

I use them with everything else and they can get very loud.

Anyhow I’ll try contacting tech support.

Ok I'm an idiot. I just discovered the ALT button!

Everything's loud and clear now :)

OP was referring to the ALT button on iRig Keys I/O. For more information on how to use all of the functions of your iRig Keys I/O I recommend the manuals available at https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/i ... ?p=manuals
