Emulate Synth Bass with MODO BASS

Postby CabralGroove » Fri May 10, 2019 11:27 pm

Hi,

I purchased MODO BASS not long ago and I love its capabilities to reproduce electric guitar sounds. I’ve been experimenting with different settings to get the different electric bass sounds and I would like to continue the exploration further.

In some genre of music, like RnB or Hip Hop, synth bass sounds give better sounding results familiar to the genre.

With those genre of music, the challenge with ‘’real’’ electric bass is to somewhat replicate or at least give the illusion of a synth bass.

Could you share some of your tips and settings to emulate that ‘’synth bass’’ sound with MODO BASS?

Tips like: Bass model, Amp & FX settings, filters, VST plugins to process the signal, etc.

My goal is to try to use only MODO BASS for all my bass sounds.

Thanks,

My first tips:

In Play Style tab:
1-Turn Detach Noise dial and Slide Noise dial all the way to zero.

In Model tab:
1- Go through the different guitar models to find the desired tone. For example, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the Violin Bass has a certain tone that I like .

Please add on …
