Database Build Fail? What to do?

Postby Stefanzoll » Sun Feb 24, 2019 1:39 pm

Hi,

I've installed everything correctly and into the right file path but still can't access the content for the Memory V synth in Syntronik - getting the error message 'the database build has failed'. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Using as a plugin in Ableton 10 or standalone I get the same error message.

And here I was thinking I'd be the only one on this forum with this issue
I have the same problem on MacOS 10.14.3
No matter where I move the Sampletank 3 library folder and then direct Syntronik to scan that location it's always an error (default location included).
Went as far as reinstalling MacOS, Syntronik and the library. Then I installed the free version of Sampletank 3 and it loads all my Syntronik sounds. However ST3's interface is nothing like the interface I see on the IK website (very dated with no Syntronik specific controls). Going back a version to Syntronik 1.1.0 didn't work either.

Hi remesiis, Minimsum and Stefanzoll.

Am I to understand that all of you are using macOS Mojave? If so, you should all contact support here https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/mi/ as this could be a bug rather than an issue with a user's specific system.

Even if you are all on different OS/platforms, then a ticket into Official Support is probably the best way to get these issues resolved.

I'm having this same issue with same version of Mojave - I'm also experiencing constant app failure in the file verifying process for each downloaded sound file....anyone got any tips?

I changed the name from Sampletank 3 to Syntronik and its ok

MAC HD > Users > Name > Documents > IK Multimedia > Syntronik

This path works ok

All dead ends for me - tried changing the file path. I've given up. Dissapointed, but feel software should not be so cumbersome to install and utilize! Of course it maybe just my set up and computer that is the problem - hence why I'm trying to see how common this is.

In my case, I copied all IKMultimedia files from "Shared" user to my "current" user. As I'm on APFS, a copy takes no more room on SSD (that's one of the benefit of APFS). (look for the exact path in the post by "remesiis" )

and then renamed the folder "Sampletank 3" to "Syntronik" in my user path

And then it worked ! Hope it will help. (obviously you have to direct to the correct new folder in the plugin for it to work)

Thanks Remesiis for your help.
