Oh! So its just an accurate model of "his" personal 86 JC-120?

The Ad sounded like there was going to be additional signal processing to modify the tone of a stock JC-120.

We utilized all of Dime's gear for this collection. This particular model was Dime's 1986 Roland® JC-120™. We worked directly with Grady Champion to get Dime's exact sound. It was great working with the team who heard the tone in the studio and were able to compare the sounds side-by-side.

We hope to bring as much AmpliTube Mac/PC gear to iOS as possible including this gear but do not have a specific roadmap on this specifically.

What are all those parametric units in the rack in the Dimebag Collection Presets? 4 parametrics and all active? Are there in-line? Does not make much sense that signal chain. Is that based in the real Dimebag rig? Could you explain this? I think there should be some info about this in the manual.

All presets are based on Dime’s tone and what was used specifically for CFH. IK worked with Grady Champion and the Dimebag estate to use the specific gear and to get the sound of each track on the record.

Nothing is explained in the manual. I'm just asking if those post-eq parametrics are part of the real signal chain, or if they are just used in the plugin to make it match the album's tone. Can you clarify this at least? Thank you.

Since I'm not an IKM person, I don't know for sure of course -- but I would guess that the rack stuff is used to get the basic tones achieved with the guitar > stomps > amp chain more like it sounds on the record. It would be rather unusual for a recorded guitar signal not to receive any post-recording processing at some stage of either mixing or mastering.

One might not compress overdriven guitar a lot, but there is sometimes some light compression (which can help deal with the volume jumping around during palm-mutes, etc.), and some EQ boosts and cuts to keep the guitar out of the way of other things (or help it poke out a bit) in a dense mix would be fairly normal. Then the whole mastering process probably at least subtly effects the EQ balance of the recorded tone.

The guitar tones on a record are generally not exactly what comes out of a amp's speaker. It would be hard to model the whole mixing/mastering process merely in Amplitube, but like I say, I would guess (sight unseen!) the additional rack unit processing is there to approximate that.

Yes I completely understand. I just wonder if 6 units of three band parametrics, in line and all ON, were use in the record also.??? It's just REALLY weird, and I doubt that was the real signal chain, which is what the plugin was supposed to emulate.
