Low Bones

Postby mklankin@hotmail.com » Tue Sep 07, 2021 3:43 pm

Hi all, this track is from 2018. A moody piece of “Canadiana” with motif being winter and snow and the title coming from a term I first heard watching a Canadian comedy series (Letterkenny). I’ve just spent some time in the last week re-working and re-mastering it with more recent IK goodies - mostly for my buddy, Paul, who relayed this was one of his favourites of mine but figured I’d share it here as well.

IK stuff:
AT5 - “Punchy Bass” preset used for bass harmonics (used in most of the song) and AMPEG SVX for bass in middle of song
MODO Drum - Jazzy kit, used to double or enhance original drum track (Logic Drummer)
ST3 - electric piano, Grand Dark piano, B3 organ, sleigh bells and some atmospheric sounds
ST4 - Fragmented Piano and Clavitube
Hammond - “Hush G Ons Alt” preset
Philharmonik 2 - bassoon and cello
TR - CSR plate and inverse revs, Sunset Sound (chamber), Sat X, White 2A, One
Lurssen Console - for mastering

Hope you might enjoy…feedback always appreciated.

Take care,
Michael

Sounds like winter to me :) You really got the vibe right with this song:)
One can just sit back and relax, I'm totally with CS on this.

I also like how the arrangement develops. Cool use of all the keyboard instruments and the guitar, obviously. The orchestral idea in the intro, is gold, however!

Keep up the good work!
