X-series pedal as midi controller.

The manuals say bothe my x-drive and x-time can control daws through midi. I can’t find a way to put them in that mode or send any signals. Anyone ever use them as a controller?

In the Global Setup menu you'll need to make sure the MIDI Channel and MIDI THRU settings are set properly for the MIDI messages to be sent via the MIDI OUT / USB. These Global Setup parameters are covered on page 44 of the X-DRIVE manual, for example.
