iRig Pro I/O - for the Deaf

Postby 4thedeaf » Fri Oct 20, 2023 8:27 pm

I purchased an iRig Pro I/O to connect from a church mixer to my iPhone. The idea was I could then call a deaf girl sitting in the congregation and an app on her phone would turn the words coming through the mixer (from my phone to hers) into text (there is an app on her phone that will do that).

I did get sound through the iRig and to my phone (could see that on garage band). But it seems when I make a phone call I lose the sound that was coming through the interface and cant get it back while on the phone. I will need to be able to connect my phone with the deaf girls phone. It seems maybe (if so, sadly) the iPhone can't. receive the sound from the iRig and be connected to another phone at the same time.

Any thoughts? I am not a sound person by any means so if you have any thoughts please make them on the easy side.
