iRig Keys I/O - That 48V “Switch”

Postby Tramtrist » Tue Jun 08, 2021 6:29 pm

Hey folks… finally opened an iRig Keys I/O I’ve had for a bit over a year, plugged in the IK gooseneck mic, and pressed the 48V button (or “switch,” as it’s called in the instructions…?). The button didn’t “click” in, but as long as I hold it, it will provide Phantom power.

Is this just how this button is designed? Are you expected to keep holding that button in for as long as you’re using a Phantom-powered mic? Or am I missing something?

Thanks, folks.
