iPhone does not play sound when connected iRig Keys I/O 49

Hello.
Input data:
• iPhone - iPhone 6S and iPhone 8 with iOS 14.2
• iRig Keys I/O 49 with four AA batteries

When an iPhone running GarageBand is connected to iRig Keys I/O 49 via the Mini-DIN cable that comes with iRig Keys I/O 49, pressing keys on iRig Keys I/O 49 iPhone plays 2-5 notes , after which the sound on the iPhone disappears. Sound on iPhone only appears after disconnecting the Mini-DIN cable from iPhone.
How to fix iPhone audio disappearing issue when connected to iRig Keys I/O 49?

iRig Keys I/O is also an audio interface. When you plug an audio interface into an iOS device, the audio is routed through it rather than the device speakers.
