Question about the Z-Tone Buffer Boost Balanced Out

Postby obispojoe » Thu Nov 26, 2020 9:24 am

One of the listed uses of the Z-Tone buffer boost is to run the balanced out to an audio interface. I was wondering what will happen if you run the balanced out to an iRig HD 2 as the audio interface. Will it work or will there be issues because the iRig HD 2 was designed to accept a guitar signal directly.

Hi obispojoe

I would think that it won't work as you'd want it too. The best way would be to take the main (unbalanced) output to the HD2 as that will be instrument level and impedance.

It might be worth firing a question into Tech Support for further clarification, is someone else doesn't chime in here.
