AXE I/O: Why 10kΩ input impedance for active pickups?

AXE I/O specification states that instrument input impedance for active pickups is 10kΩ.

At the same time, I read that most guitars' electronics impedance with active pickups (e.g. ESP) is 25kΩ.

I also read that if your source impedance (guitar) is higher that load impedance (audio interface), then your signal got impaired. And your load impedance must be 10 x source impedance for the best result.

Why IK Multimedia engineers made it only 10kΩ then?
