Shure 58 into Sony Video cam via IRIGPRE inquiry

Hi,

I bought a iRigPre as I want to go straight into my Sony FDR AX53 video cam but I can't get it to work.

It goes XLR mic into iRigPre then out to mini plug into mic input on the cam.

I have tried other cables but can't get it to pick up anything.

What am I doing wrong?

iRig PRE was not built to connect directly to a DSLR or video camera, but it is possible (at least with DSLR) with an additional cable. Out of the box, iRig PRE is designed to connect to mobile devices and some computers.
