Axe I/O and iRig Acoustic Stage Integration

Postby Sirkus_Pi » Sun Sep 15, 2019 4:43 pm

I apologize for what I expect is a basic question, but:

if I want to use the iRig Acoustic Stage mic with the Axe I/O, would I plug the 1/4-inch output of the iRig into the Instrument input on the from of the I/O? Or into the combo input on the back?

And if I should be using the combo input, can I use a 1/4-inch input (a line input), using a basic instrument cord from the iRig to the I/O? Or would I want a cord that converts the 1/4-inch output of the iRig into an XLR plug to use in the I/O's combo input?

Yes, the iRig Acoustic Stage 1/4" output can go right to your AXE I/O. While Line Level inputs are on the back, the front inputs should work fine and may produce some interesting results.

This output is a TS (Tip - Sleeve) output, so using a normal Instrument cable with a TS connection will work fine.
