Stealth pedal doesn't work as midi

Postby bkootchin » Mon May 30, 2011 12:04 am

I have everything installed but I can't get the Stealth pedal to control any of the stompbox effects or anything else in Amplitube 3 on a Mac.
It works as an audio interface but nothing else.
Seems too complicated?
Any suggestions? Can anybody walk me through how to set it up?

StealthPedal will interface directly with AmpliTube 3 without any setup necessary.
To get it working, all you should need to do is select StealthPedal from the box on the right between the OUTPUT LEVEL and the Speed Trainer (it may currently say StompIO) and then engage the on button directly to its right so it lights up red.

Your Uni-V, wahs, and volume pedals should automatically link to the StealthPedal.
For detailed instructions on how to assign control to any other AmpliTube 3 parameter, please see Chapter 4 - Foot Control Integration starting on page 17 in the What Is New in AmpliTube 3.5 PDF document.

Unfortunately, I am not expert enough on Mac to help you further here. Our Tech Support team is, though. Please drop them a support ticket.

Tried reinstalling the midi driver, tried changing the USB cable.
No change.
May need an update to the driver-software?

After many emails IK support doesn't have an answer.
I can't get the pedal to work on two new Macs and they don't know what's wrong.
Their answer is it should work.
Not impressed. I'm definitely looking for a better supported substitute.
Any suggestions?

Do you have a program called "StealthPedal MIDI Control"? If so open it up, and then move your pedal back and forth. Does the program show that it recognizes input from the StealthPedal. If it does you should see a yellow light go on just below the pedal graphic.

Also do you see in the top right corner a button labeled " Control" and is that on?

None of those options are available within the midi controller.
As far as I can tell there's a driver problem.
As I mentioned before the pedal isn't working with my iMac either.
I'm returning the pedal today.
IK has some tech support issues to work out.

I bought my pedal yesterday and I have the same problem. I tried to click on button "control" in "StealthPedal MIDI Control", it lights up but goes away after a second. I have a new Mac Book Pro (with Thunderbolt). Is there anyonewho have this working on a new Mac Book Pro?

I returned mine.
The only suggestion is to repair the permissions.
I also tested the Apogee GiO, no problems there.
I finally settled on Guitar Rig works fine, excellent software too.

Ok, now I tried to install on a iMac with PowerPC inside. Soundcard and midi works just fine. So is there just a driver-problem or did I any mistake installing on the new MacBook Pro?
Is there anyone that has made this work on a new MacBook Pro (w/ Thunderbolt)?
/p.

Yes!!!
My solution was to download and install "AmpliTube_X-GEAR_1.5.1.dmg".
Now both soundcard and midi works on my new MacBookPro. :D

Make sure that you download AmpliTube 3.3.6, looks like the problems have been addressed.
Shame that no one in tech support claimed responsibility for the software, I might of held off on returning the pedal.
FYI:
From the release notes:
Changes from version 3.5.2:
− Resolved an issue on 64 bit hosts when loading many instances of the plug-‐in
− Fixed an issue that may duplicate MIDI parameters in the MIDI Control pane when reloading a patch
− New officially approved gear models from Seymour Duncan® and Orange®:
• Seymour Duncan Power Grid distortion pedal
• Seymour Duncan Shape ShifterTM tremolo pedal
• Orange ThunderverbTM 200 amplifier
• Orange Tiny TerrorTM Combo 1x12” cabinet
• Orange PPC212OB 2x12” cabinet
